CURRENT & UPCOMING EXHIBITIONS

My painting process evolves organically by aggressively alternating layers of opacity and translucency. And because I don’t begin with a preconceived image or make use of  preparatory studies, these paintings tend to chart their own course. Sometimes described as either distant nebulae or firing neurons, these luminous layers of inter-connectivity reveal a network of undulating woven structures that ultimately establish a unified field. A luminous plasma, organic and familiar, they seem to be a part of the natural world, but they are also somehow, other.

By spontaneously exploring this odd encounter between the natural and perceived world, my paintings begin to prompt some interesting questions.
